Zusammenfassung
Administrative data: The data comprises the administrative bank records of more than 100.000 clients of a major German private bank from 2010 to 2019. The data comprises the clients’ full history of holdings and transactions in various financial instruments, including credit, savings, and investment products. Linked Survey Data: In 2018, we started an online survey to a random sample of retail clients in order to complement the rich administrative financial data by measures on client preferences, beliefs and other behavioral variables potentially driving client financial decisions. Overall, more than 300 questions covering different domains have been fielded to clients in the first four survey waves. While anonymized, survey answers can be linked to a client's full administrative data. Every Survey comprises one topic and is conducted within the Limesurvey environment. Thus, online experiments and treatments studies are technically possible. Participants are invited via E-Mail. Survey waves are designed to be answered within 10 minutes, on average. Participation in the single waves were incentivized by online shopping vouchers worth EUR 5. Single survey items were not incentivized. The sample is regularly refreshed.
